World of Tanks KV-1S - 11 Kills 3,2K Damage

The KV-1S is a Soviet tier 5 heavy tank.

A further modification of the KV-1 heavy tank series developed in the summer of 1942. It passed into Red Army service on August 20, 1942. Compared to its predecessors, KV-1S had several design features which allowed for the tank’s weight to be reduced to 42.3 tons. Also, the KV-1S had increased top speed, maneuverability, and durability. However, the 76-mm ZIS-5 gun remained. This, coupled with reduced and inefficient armoring, made the new vehicle basically equal to the Т-34 in terms of battle performance. A total of 1,083 vehicles of this modification were manufactured. This tank was widely used on all fronts of the Great Patriotic War.

Being the only way to access the IS from the heavy line since the 0.7.3 patch, then replaced in 0.9.3 by the KV-85, this tank has become a more common sight in battles. It is the antithesis to its counterpart, the KV-1, as this tank trades in its armor for excellent mobility. This tank can lead an assault and it can either be immediately behind the heavier tanks or try to flank the enemy and hit hard with the 122mm howitzer, or penetrate them to death with your high rate of fire . Despite only having 75mm of frontal armor, the KV-1S is a hard nut to crack, keep in mind though that most shots planted behind the turret will result in a fire. A fire extinguisher is highly recommended for this tank, as well as a medkit.

The KV-85 took place of the KV-1S at tier 6 in 0.9.3.

World of Tanks SU-152 - 9 Kills 6,6K Damage

The SU-152 is a Soviet tier 7 tank destroyer.

Development of a tank destroyer on the basis of the KV-1S heavy tank began on January 4, 1943. The vehicle received the designation KV-14 (Object 236). A prototype underwent field trials at the beginning of February 1943 and entered service on February 14, 1943. In April, the KV-14 was renamed SU-152. By December 1943, 670 vehicles were manufactured. Thanks to its ability to successfully combat german Tiger I and Panther tanks, the SU-152 was dubbed "Hunter" by the troops.

While having a very powerful gun and based on the KV-1S chassis, the SU-152 has relatively weak armor for a tank destroyer. On top of that, it has low speed and maneuverability. Most tanks you face will have no problems piercing the frontal armor, so it is best to use the low profile of this tank and remain at range to make yourself a much smaller target.

The SU-152 initially mounts a 152mm gun. This gun should use mostly HE rounds since its AP rounds can't penetrate most heavy tanks' frontal armor or snipe weak spots with its poor accuracy. For sniping, use the upgraded 122mm series gun. The upgraded 122mm gun has decent penetration for its tier, good damage and very high rate of fire for such a large weapon. Beware, the tank doesn't carry much ammo, so for trigger happy folks, consider yourselves warned. However, some people prefer to play with the stock 152mm which can hurt any tank you face and has the advantage of increased module damage, like destroying tracks of enemy tanks you hit, immobilizing them while you reload.

The SU-152 leads to the ISU-152.

World of Tanks Škoda T 50 - 7 Kills 9K Damage

The Škoda T 50 is a Czechoslovakian tier 9 medium tank.

A further development of the post-war concept for the Czechoslovakian general purpose tank. The project was developed by Škoda in 1947. In 1948, significant changes were introduced to the project. There were plans to mount a 100 mm gun. The project was discontinued after one full-size wooden prototype had been built.

The Škoda T 50 leads to the TVP T 50/51.

World of Tanks FV4005 Stage II - 7 Kills 13,3K Damage

The FV4005 Stage II is a British tier 10 turreted tank destroyer.

This tank destroyer project was developed on the basis of the Centurion Mk3 tank in the early 1950s. The vehicle was initially tested with a mechanized ammo rack. However, the ammo rack did not fit the turret, and it was canceled. One prototype was manufactured and underwent trials, but the vehicle never entered mass production.

Sometimes known as "Sh*tbarn" or "Doombarn", the FV4005 Stage II is the more mobile tier X British TD compared to both the FV217 Badger and the FV215b (183). It has terrible armor and a very large paper-thin turret. At this point one might ask why would anyone get this over the now-replaced FV215b (183) or the FV217 Badger. It can be the deadliest support tank in the game, as it is armed with the same 183mm gun as the FV215b (183) but with better aiming time. Either popping out and shooting heavies while they are reloading or giving heavy fire support to a pack of protecting mediums are the best ways to play this tank. It is a lot less forgiving than the FV215b (183), so you will have to focus more. You will need to keep an eye on the mini-map at all times, if a flank is failing go and lend your massive 183mm gun. If your timing is right you can turn the game around.

The FV4005 Stage II marks the end of its British tank destroyer line.

World of Tanks AMX 50 B - 6 Kills 10,1K Damage

The AMX 50 B is a French tier 10 heavy tank.

Developed starting in 1951 by DEFA, the state weapons design bureau. By 1958, the AMX 50 B received a number of improvements, including a low-profile cast hull and torsion-bar suspension. A new oscillating turret with a 120-mm gun was also mounted on the vehicle. Despite the fact that the Maybach engine power provided just 1,000 h.p., specialists from the German Gruppe M company were looking for a solution that would allow the vehicle to reach a speed of up to 65 km/h. Only one finished prototype of this variant was built.

The AMX 50 B is the final evolution of the French autoloader heavy line. It's very similar to its predecessor, the AMX 50 120, and is essentially a souped-up version of it. Namely, it is more maneuverable and faster than the 50 120, mainly due to a big boost in horsepower. The AMX 50 B also has enhanced hull armor positioned at an extreme angle that is much more capable of bouncing shots. Although the 120mm cannon carries over from the 50 120, it has been significantly improved in reload speed, aiming time, time between shots, and gun elevation angles. Furthermore, the AMX 50B has overcome the easily-damaged ammo rack that plagued the AMX 50 120.

The AMX 50 B marks the end of its French heavy line.

World of Tanks XM551 Sheridan - 7 Kills 10,2K Damage

The XM551 Sheridan is an American tier 10 light tank.

Work on the vehicle started under the AR/AAV project (Armored Reconnaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle) in January 1959. In June 1962, the Cadillac Motor Car Division delivered the first vehicle prototype to the client. The first generation of vehicles included three prototypes. Work was continued, and the vehicle eventually saw service under the M551 Sheridan designation in 1966.

Judging from its raw stats, The Sheridan had minor differences from The T49. With the same derp gun from T49, a bigger hull, lower weight, and being covered with wet toilet paper armor, this can turn some players off. But, to redeem its downside, the Sheridan received a handy 105mm AP gun with great penetration and accuracy. It also has some thin but useful spaced armor to protect it from HESH or HEAT shells.

The XM551 Sheridan marks the end of its American light line.

World of Tanks T28 Prototype - 10 Kills 7K Damage

The T28 Prototype is an American tier 8 turreted tank destroyer.

Early prototype of a heavy tank designed for breaking through fortifications of the German Siegfried Line. Existed only in blueprints, prepared under the program for developing heavy vehicles that was initiated in September 1943.

The T28 Prototype has a decent gun, good penetration and a useable ROF. Like the T28, the Proto is very very slow, if caught in the open there is no chance to survive and reversing will do no good. You do have good armor; however it is not as good as the T28, yet it received an closed top in 9.14, making it slightly less vulnerable to HE and artillery. Do note that although it has a turret, it can not rotate 360° and is very slow, meaning it will not help much against circling enemies.


The T28 Prototype leads to the T28, and the T30.

World of Tanks T-34 - 11 Kills 3,1K Damage

The T-34 is a Soviet tier 5 medium tank.

The legend of the Soviet armored forces and the most widely-produced Soviet tank of World War II, with a total of 33,805 vehicles manufactured. Three variants of this model were produced at several Soviet factories from 1940 through 1944.

From a player's point of view, the T-34's almost mythical reputation in real life leads some to believe that it will be a kind of "wonder tank" in-game. However, given that tiers represent the time periods of the tanks; and that the nations are idealised and able to produce anything they like; while the T-34 was one of the most famous tanks of World War II and the spiritual grandforefather of almost every modern MBT, there are much better competitors available. In terms of stats, there are two main guns. The 57mm ZiS-4 gun is a great gun for its tier, with a high accuracy and fantastic DPM. The 76mm S-54 is a brawler's cannon not unlike the heavies with poor aim time, and indeed used to be available on the original Tier 6 KV-1S, but trades alpha for reload. The turret itself has decent sloped armour for its tier of roughly 60mm all-round and the hull is on the thin side but very well angled. With mobility, the T-34 is average and is only on par with other tier 5 mediums, but with a decent top straight speed for cruising. All in all the T-34 is not a grind by any stretch of the imagination, and it can be a truly deadly weapon on the battlefield if used properly.

The T-34 leads to the A-43, the MT-25, and the T-34-85.
